Experience the adventure of the Tsiribihina River, drifting past forests, canyons and baobabs, with nights spent camping by the river. Spot lemurs and the elusive Fosa, and explore remarkable rock formations and karst landscapes. The trip offers travellers an authentic experience of Madagascar, on foot and by water.Day 1 – Arrival in Antananarivo
Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel. Overview of the tour.
Day 2 – Antananarivo - Antsirabe
Visit to the Queen's Palace of Rova Manjakamiadana before continuing the journey to Antsirabe. Stop in Ambatolampy to learn about the making of Malagasy pottery. Evening walking tour of Antsirabe to explore the city.
Day 3 – Antsirabe - Miandrivazo
After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Miandrivazo. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the traditional village and meet the local people during this trip. Lunch will be in Mandoto before continuing on to Miandrivazo.
Day 4 – Miandrivazo - Tsiribihina
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer by car to the boat boarding point to reach the Tsiribihina River. Lunch will be served on the boat. During the day, you’ll have time to visit the Nosy Ampela waterfall and enjoy a swim in its magnificent, crystal-clear natural pool.
Day 5 – Tsiribihina
After breakfast at the camp, you will continue your journey by boat along the river. You will visit the village of Begidro to get a sense of local life and explore the market. Lunch will be served on the boat as you continue navigating to the next campsite.
Day 6 – Tsiribihina - Bekopaka
After breakfast, the boat trip continues to Belo Sur Tsiribihina. This journey takes about half a day by boat. Lunch will be served on the boat before disembarking at Belo Sur Tsiribihina. Then, drive to Bekopaka in a 4x4 off-road vehicle.
Day 7 – Visit of Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll set out for a tour of Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. This tour lasts about half a day. The afternoon will be free-time to visit the village of Bekopaka.
Day 8 – Bekopaka - Morondava
After breakfast, departure to Morondava. We’ll stop for lunch in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina before continuing our journey to catch the sunset at the Avenue of the Baobabs.
Day 9 – Morondava - Antananarivo
After breakfast, transfer to Morondava Airport according to your flight schedule to take the flight to Antananarivo.
Day 10 – International departure
After breakfast, you’ll have free time for souvenir shopping in the city. Then, transfer to the airport for your international flight. End of the trip
